META

On the verge of announcing the next version of their popular XR headset, the Meta Quest, Meta wanted to create a big splash. We pitched a massive outdoor festival for this fun new business opportunity.

CHALLENGE

Meta wanted to break attendance records and make a big splash with the announcement of their next gen device. To match the level of excitement their audience would bring to the event, we knew the ideas had to be plentiful and big. In standard pitch timing, the turnaround from core concept to deck design, including full 3D renders, was incredibly tight. Challenge accepted.

APPROACH

For this new business pitch, we swung for the fence and pitched a massive festival. The Meta logo symbol acted as a pathway that interconnected megadome structures where guest speakers and product partners could engage with guests. Complete with interactive AR and VR activations, celebrity speakers in-person and in the Metaverse, a celebrity chef, and one-of-a-kind merch, this event was meant to break records IRL and in the Metaverse. The pitch deck below show our audience-centric approach that focused on three key audience profiles. We wanted to be sure the experience was service those who would become the strongest brand and product ambassadors after the product launch.

RESULT

Timing is everything and this wasn’t a win for two big reasons: Meta made a sudden shift away from the Metaverse to go all in on AI and the company was about to release a significant number of their workforce after pandemic-level hiring blitz. While their RFP team couldn’t be aware of these impending tectonic shifts, this is a pitch that made us all proud to create and present.
